Research Analyst
Description
Effectively complete all assigned tasks for benchmarking projects, ensuring that resulting products and related presentations are developed within established standards and timelines.
- Interface effectively with clients in both written and verbal form to clearly define data requirements, validate data received, and respond to specific client inquiries.
- Accurately import and analyze client data to identify anomalies and issues using the Company's proprietary database software. Manipulate data as appropriate.
- Diplomatically address and resolve data issues with clients.
- Produce tailored presentations in accordance with direction from Project Manager.
- Edit, proof, and produce final project results and related presentations adhering to the Company's quality standards and project timelines.
Requisite Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies
- Basic knowledge of chemical manufacturing/engineering, including related products, product logistics, terminology, industry participants, petrochemical cost structure, and performance factors.
- Excellent analytical and written/verbal communication skills, including outstanding fluency with the English language.
- Intermediate or higher competency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work both independently and as an effective team member.
- Ability to apply creative thought processes within structured parameters.
Education
- BS - Chemical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering or related field required; MS or MBA desirable
- 0 - 2 years experience working within the petrochemical industry.

Working Conditions
- Normal Work Hours: 40 hours per week; scheduled hours determined by supervisor; overtime required on occasion to meet deadlines.
- Work Location: Main Office.
- Travel Requirements: None
- Physical Requirements: Ability to see details at close range, listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences, sit for prolonged periods of time, operate keyboards, computer hardware components, and telephones.
