Benchmarking Professional for LNG supply chain or PI

Role description - Accountability
The scope of the LNG supply chain and PI (People index) Benchmarking Service covers LNG plants, LNG ships, LNG terminals and PI benchmarking focused on refinery and chemical plant operations. - Participation in the annual benchmarking process from data collection, data validation, database loading, calculation of benchmark KPI`s through to publication of results. This process is an iterative process and close cooperation within the team will be required.

  • Timely delivery of reports, and a high level of customer satisfaction in the benchmarking service.
  • Acquisition of new customers as appropriate
  • Delivering customer training as required
  • Position description – Dimensions
    The incumbent needs to interface not only with all members of the team and PTAI management but also with all levels in the customer organization as appropriate.

    Position description - Special Challenges
    This role requires a broad knowledge of the LNG and or downstream refinery and chemicals business. It also needs strong analytical, numerical and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including working with databases, complex spreadsheets and graphic packages are useful. Good interpersonal and listening skills are needed.

    Experience and Qualifications required

  • A degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical or similar engineering discipline
  • At least 3 years experience in the production or operational environment of the oil and gas industry and/or in benchmarking activities of oil and gas facilities.
  • Familiar with the key business drivers - safety, unit cost, production, reliability and environmental impact
  • Capable to use Excel and Powerpoint and familiar with using Oracle database and/or other benchmarking tools and practices
  • Proficiency in English
  • Dynamic individual who is highly motivated, open minded, demonstrates team spirit, excellent interpersonal skills and values differences.
  • Timing
    Work location will be Houston/Texas. The start date for the incumbent is between October 1st 2009 and December 1st 2009.

    VBA for Excel Developer for LNG supply chain or PI

    Position description

    This role requires a knowledge of advanced VBA application development techniques in Excel. It also requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently. Self-motivation is a must.

    Experience and Qualifications required

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At leaset 5 years of experience with VBA for Excel programming to an Oracle back end.
  • Prior experience in Oracle DBA or Applications Development a plus.
  • Prior experience in Access, PL/SQL, Windows Scripting a plus
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be willing to travel to Europe for 2-3 weeks at the end of September 2009 with negligible travel to follow.
