How Does It Work?

THE MODEL

We manage a benchmarking process that allows companies to compare their cost performance and track their progress towards improvement. Data is collected in the functional areas by participants, usually including:

• Manufacturing
• Distribution
• Sales and Marketing
• R&D with Technical Service
• Corporate Overheads

Given detailed definitions to assure comparability, participants collect and supply Townsend with their data.

Townsend returns industry and company ratios for Benchmarking.

Data provided by participants is used only for the purposes of this program. Our commitment is that no participating company will ever be able to determine another company's data.
